1. Rob Paine and Willyum of Worship Recordings

I am thankful for friends that support and understand what we are trying to do with UnsungPhilly. It was one of these good friends that walked up to me one day and said, "Hey man, you should meet my boys Rob and Will." Jay proceeded to tell me about DJ's Rob Paine and Willyum, Worship Recordings, and their monthly house music event in Philly called "Shakedown". Knowing my good friend Jay as I do - I knew I had to meet his boys.

So as I sit and write this, I am proud to present MY boys! Two of Philadelphia's finest DJ's Rob Paine and Willyum of Worship Recordings.

    Give Thanks!

  2. Michael & Joan Cooke

I knew Mike Cooke in high school... we graduated together. Mike was smart and very funny and I don't really know a person that didn't like him... and in high school that is a pretty amazing feat.

At first, I thought this story would be all about Mike, the soldier, the Operation Desert Storm veteran, but as things progressed I realized that this was not just about a soldier but the mother that continues to care for and worry about her son.

    Meet Michael and Joan Cooke.

  3. Dustin Dellinger & Jim Haas of GashouseRadio.com

A while ago, I heard about GashouseRadio.com from a friend. My buddy told me about this free internet radio station that had a great live show and independent music. Upon listening and eventually meeting the GHR business partners Dustin and Jim - I was amazed at their passion and dedication to GashouseRadio, the music, staff, and the internet community that surrounds them.

Please enjoy Dustin Dellinger and Jim Haas of GashouseRadio.com!

  4. Greg Gillespie of Port Richmond Books

I heard about Port Richmond Books a couple years ago while working on another project. A friend told me about a cerebral sanctuary located in the heart of Port Richmond, one of Philadelphia's most blue collar areas. At the time, it seemed so strange but after meeting Greg Gillespie, it all made perfect sense.

Greg is a wonderful person and it is mirrored by his amazing book store.
